A conference for all
With just a month to go, the preparations for the European Association for Children in Hospital (EACH) Conference, this year being hosted in Dublin by CHI, is in full swing. With a very exciting line-up of speakers the event promises a stimulating day for those attending. Interest in the conference is high as the development of the new hospital is relevant to anyone concerned about the delivery of health care to children - from parents to clinicians to planners and policy makers.
The development of the new Children's Hospital of Ireland is the most significant health care project related to children in over 50 years - since the building of Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin.
As the proposed name for the new hospital indicates - the Children's Hospital of Ireland - the new institution, while looking after sick children in the greater Dublin area, will also provide specialised care for children from all quarters of the country.
The conference programme provides a comprehensive insight into the complexities of this major development from those involved in the development of the hospital. The conference will also draw on experiences from other countries, address some of the human factors involved, and, importantly will give a voice to those the hospital will serve - children and young people.
If you have an opinion on the development of the new hospital please share it with us.
Details of the conference programme are on the website. We invite you to register at once to participate in this unique event - and to join us in celebrating 40 years working on behalf of sick children and their families.
