Walk, jog or run for Children in Hospital
A stay in hospital for any child is often stressful and can be very scary. Children in Hospital Ireland is a national voluntary organisation dedicated to helping all hospitalised children by providing them with fun and support where they need it the most…in hospitals!
Every day, volunteers from CHI’s PlayWell service, working in 19 hospitals around the country, provide activities and play for children of all ages. You can also contribute to this invaluable work by joining our team for one of the numerous Irish athletic events that take place annually!
Your efforts to raise funds will also help sustain the other important services we provide every day:
- Comprehensive support for parents whose child has to go to hospital or is already a patient.
- Our JustAsk service in Crumlin Hospital provides a helping hand on the ground to assist parents and children to the ward, gives information about the hospital, its facilities and the local area, and generally offers a friendly and supportive face.
As a voluntary organisation, we are heavily reliant on fundraising and donations to keep helping sick children and their families. This is why your support is really crucial!
For all supporters who are participating in events we provide a free race pack which includes a personalised sponsorship card, informative and supportive documentation, and a CHI t-shirt.
If you are participating in an event, you can make it easy for friends and supporters to contribute to your fund-raising campaign online by setting up your own sponsorship page on mycharity.ie. Just follow the instructions to give via the MyCharity website!
