Why contribute to the work of CHI?
Using the wealth of experience and expertise accumulated since it was founded in 1970, the organisation supports parents and advocates for the best possible standard of health services. Drawing attention to the emotional and development needs of hospitalised children is paramount for the organisation. Over the years, working collaboratively with a large network of related charities and hospital personnel, CHI has played a major role in improving how children are cared for in Irish hospitals. Today, CHI provides the only volunteer play service in hospitals in Ireland.
You can actively support this good work by choosing your own way to contribute. Together, we are stronger to make hospital a happier place for children and their families!
How to contribute?
There are several ways you can participate:
- Make a donation that will directly support the organisation's activities including the PlayWell and JustAsk volunteer services that support parents and provide play and fun events for children in 20 hospitals around the country.
- Join our enthusiastic volunteer team at your local hospital - actively helping children.
- Become a CHI member to support our work, and receive all our latest news and information.
- Participate in one of our fundraising events. Please see the full list of the upcoming CHI events.
- Join the CHI team for your chosen challenge.
More possibilities …
In this difficult economic climate, all charties are struggling to continue with their work. We need help and you could organise a fundraising event locally in aid of CHI. Here are few suggestions:
- An afternoon tea, coffee morning or dinner between friends and family
- A small competition (swimming, running, biking, etc…)
- A Halloween, St Patrick's Day or Christmas party
- A pub quiz
- An auction
- A cake sale
