EACH for sick children

EACH - European Association for Children in Hospital - is the umbrella organisation for member associations involved in the welfare of all children before, during or after a hospital stay. Presently, 18 associations from 16 European countries and also from Japan are members of EACH.

CHI is an active member of EACH and is hosting the next European conference in 2010.

In 1988 twelve of these associations came together in Leiden (NL) for their first European conference. At the conference, a charter for sick children was drawn up and described in ten points the fundamental rights of children in hospital. It is now called the EACH charter and you can find the EACH Charter Booklet for sale in our shop.
